The Woodland Trust

T

he Woodland Trust is a charity dedicated to the preservation and creation of woodlands. It owns many woodlands throughout the country, including some major ones in Scotland, although there is a concentration of Woodland Trust properties in the West Country. Most of the woodlands are open to the public, although the smaller ones are not always signed or waymarked.

There is an excellent Woodland Trust website, well worth a visit. All Woodland Trust properties are listed in a very easy to use database,and there is plenty of other information too including an impressive FAQ which really does answer frequently asked woodland questions.
